That final photo is the last known picture of the true Vernon Howl. While he hasn't been seen in almost six years, his FB account has remained active. Maybe he'll start posting status updates again so we know he's still alive. Who knows? The last thing he said to me before he went away was, "Ben, I'm old. I can't do this forever. I would like it very much if you tried to be me. Please use my name as a pseudonym. Maybe start a top-notch blog using my name. Keep the band going. Never let it die. Art never dies. When you can't be me any longer, let someone else be me, be Vernon Howl. This band will make 10,000 albums and last 200 years. I know that it will. Vernon Howl is the architecture of God."
